I simply find it amazing that after so many years in service to Butler County, and the explosive growth we have had, that we can so easily dismiss the one of the very few leaders we have in our county government and turn on him.
Commissioner Furmon has been the steadfast backbone for our county for several years now, but as soon as the economy goes south there is a large loudmouthed segment out there who want to see him replaced.
Perhaps in this county we have a leadership crisis because you cannot lead that which will not follow.
